Role Overview A key role in the creation, testing and maintenance of the solution platform Provide direct support and backup to the team lead To participate in discussion and planning regarding implementation strategy, application design, and architecture Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review Designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high-availability and performance Contribute to decisions and effort required to manage the code base, and support DevOps and the build/deploy processes Provide mentorship and guidance to more junior members of the team Perform code reviews Act as a mentor for new or lower-level software developers or programmers, as well as for all the members on the development team Prepare and produce releases of software components Analyze and scrutiny logs and evidences for defect diagnosis  Key Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field Self-motivated and able to take responsibility Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks Punctual and reliable Flexible attitude Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally Able to interact with clients/business users directly Fluent in English and Portuguese Role based in Barueri, and Osasco – Brazil Preferred Qualifications Experience with tools like Eclipse, Git, SQL Developer, Jira / Confluence, Slack, Maven Experience with Java Application Servers (Websphere, Tomcat, Jboss, etc) Knowledge on SQL and Relational Database Experience in JMS and queuing technologies Knowledge in Java Batch Processing Programming Languages - Server-side - Java, Front-end - JavaScript, Mobile - Objective-C and/or Java for Android Framework Knowledge on Angular Databases and Tools - DB - Oracle, Tools - Git, Eclipse/IntelliJ, Gradle/Maven, Gulp/Grunt Supporting Technologies - Swagger (front and back-end), JSON & REST, Front-end - CSS, XHTML, Sass Technical Skills  Deep understanding of Object Oriented Programming and Design Patterns Proven experience with Agile Programming Technical/Team Leadership experience with creating and coordinating business and technical tasks Superior technical expertise to a developer Strong understanding and experience in Java 7+ (ideally on Java 8) Proven experience with Spring (Framework, Security, MVC, Boot) Experience designing, developing, and implementing Java applications Experience developing Rest services Experience in an Agile development (Scrum) environment
